Terms and conditions

1. General

These conditions apply to all reservations and rental agreements with 't Hazelbos, located at Akkermansstraat 8, 7021 LW Zelhem, the Netherlands. By placing a booking or entering into a rental agreement, the renter agrees to these conditions.

2. Nature cabin Acacia

2.1 Booking and payment

• A booking is final after receipt of the 30% deposit of the total amount.
• The remaining amount is automatically collected 30 days before the arrival date.
• Payment is possible by iDEAL or credit card (Visa, Mastercard).
• For bookings within 30 days of arrival, the full amount is due immediately.

2.2 Cancellation

• Up to 30 days before arrival: free cancellation.
• 30 to 14 days before arrival: 50% of the total amount is charged.
• 14 to 7 days before arrival: 75% of the total amount is charged.
• Less than 7 days before arrival or no-show: the full amount is charged.
• Cancellations can be made by email via info@hazelbos.nl.

2.3 Check-in and check-out

• Check-in: from 3 pm.
• Check-out: by 10 am.
• Some flexibility is sometimes possible by arrangement. Please contact us.

2.4 Capacity

• Acacia is suitable for a maximum of 5 guests.
• The number of guests may not exceed the number stated at booking.

3. Group space

3.1 Booking and payment

• A booking is final after written confirmation by email.
• The full rental amount must be paid no later than 14 days before the booked date.
• All rates include VAT, coffee and tea.
• Use of the outdoor area, the food forest or the fire circle is possible by arrangement.

3.2 Cancellation of the group space

• Up to 14 days before the booked date: free cancellation.
• Less than 14 days: 50% of the rental amount is charged.
• Less than 48 hours or no-show: the full amount is charged.

3.3 Capacity

• The group space is suitable for a maximum of 30 people.
• The space must be used for the purpose stated at booking.

4. House rules

• Pets: pets are not allowed in Acacia or the group space.
• Smoking: smoking is not allowed inside the buildings. Smoking outside on the terrace is allowed, provided cigarette butts are cleaned up.
• Noise: we ask guests to respect the quiet of the surroundings after 10 pm.
• Parking: parking is free on the grounds. To keep the grounds free of cars, park in the designated spot and walk the last stretch to the cabin.
• Food forest: guests may freely enter the food forest and pick what is ripe. We ask you to treat the planting with respect.
• Waste: we ask guests to separate waste (general waste, paper, glass, plastic). Bins are provided.
• Departure: please leave the spaces you used in a tidy state. The dishwasher may be switched on when full. Bed linen and towels do not need to be washed.

5. Damage and liability

• The renter is liable for damage to the rented property, its inventory and the grounds, caused by the renter or their guests.
• Damage must be reported to 't Hazelbos immediately.
• The costs of repair or replacement will be charged to the renter.
• 't Hazelbos is not liable for theft, loss of or damage to the renter's belongings.
• 't Hazelbos is not liable for injury, unless caused by intent or gross negligence on the part of 't Hazelbos.
• Staying on the grounds and entering the food forest is at your own risk.

6. Force majeure

In the event of force majeure (including natural disasters, pandemics, government measures or other unforeseen circumstances), 't Hazelbos is entitled to cancel or move the booking. In that case, the amount already paid will be refunded in full, or an alternative date will be offered in consultation.

7. Privacy

Personal data is used exclusively for processing bookings and communicating with guests. See our privacy statement for more information.

8. Applicable law

Dutch law applies to all agreements with 't Hazelbos. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the district of Gelderland, the Netherlands.
